[quote="familyandfriendsfirst"][b]Scammers are worldwide now, we have many in the USA and they are not dealing with poverty, they do it for greed. It is hard to decipher online whom is begging for real or for $$$$. Many have been scammed and learned a lesson the hard way, all governments are corrupt to some degree and the wealthy rule! I am sorry for those that are truly hurting for food and basic needs but the billions the US sends to foreign countries unfortunately rarely reaches those in need.
Factories and other professional opportunities are necessary for jobs. Egypt is in chaos now and the world is watching. We are all fed up with the 'system' everywhere in the world. It is either a "Do or Die" situation and our gang bangers here are taking over. YIKES!

I agree with all you have to say. Western nations are the root cause of most problems globally. They hand aid money to the UN, thinking they're helping the people. The truth is that such aid money gets sucked up in administrative expenses. Unfortunately, there is no oversight on the part of the nations that provide the aid money. So in a way, these nations are doing more harm than good by creating an environment for corruption to thrive in.
Governments are corrupt, especially western governments. They gladly accept stolen money into their financial institutions, but turn around and accuse Nigeria of corruption.
If western nations really want to help Nigeria, they won't be handing cash to the UN. Rather, they would offer to build infrastructure like electricity, clean water, etc.
