Marwa Declares for Presidency
Posted: Thu Apr 13, 2006 5:06 pmFormer Military Administra-tor of Lagos State, Brigadier-General Buba Marwa (rtd.), has formally declared his intention to seek the nomination of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to contest the presidential election in 2007, promising to sustain President Olusegun Obasanjo's economic reform agenda.
Marwa's declaration, at a crowded press conference yesterday in Abuja, came on the heels of his last Friday's denial at the national headquarters of the party that he never declared at any time in the past that he would take a shot at the presidency next year.
