The United Nations Population Fund(UNFPA) has said in Abuja that it was satisfied with the recently conducted national census in Nigeria, describing it as a success.
He said that despite obvious logistical problems experienced during the head count, the exercise was comprehensive and covered all the states of the federation. Brasseur conceded though that some of the complaints made about the census were normal but explained it did not invalidate the exercise.
According to the UNFPA director, Nigerians deserve commendation for the courage and determination they demonstrated in embarking on the head count.
