Not too long ago, homosexuality around the world was seen as an abomination. The situation was so bad that perceived gays were rewarded with severe beatings, sometimes death.
As time went on, this position is beginning to be relaxed. This is particularly true in the western world where freedom is allowed to reign, as long as you as an individual is not breaking the local laws.
How do Nigerians relate to homosexuals today? Are we living in the modern age like the developed world, or are we still in the dark ages?

So you're telling me that Nigerians won't care if two men are kissing in public? Or if one woman is sitting on another woman's lap in a public place?

So are you saying that Nigerians have become open-minded enough and accept homosexuality in the society?
How does Islam and Christianity view it?

I don't understand this, but i've been to Kwara, Enugu, Delta, Oyo, Ogun and I reside in Lagos, homosexuality is greeted with maximum contempt in these places, and in some places, you could be stoned to death!
Check it, two agberos kissing each other - how would you view that?
Homos cannot survive openly in Nigeria, especially in the south, it just won't work. It's not all that working abroad so how will it survive here. before it can, women would be marrying 2 or 3 men or more, at will (not in rare cases o, i mean in many instances) then homos can then come out after the total destruction of the African culture.

There are two confilicting points of view here. One that says homosexuality is no big deal in Nigeria, and another that says no way, homos have no place in Nigeria.
Maybe it's a regional thing. Perhaps norherners don't give a damn. But, if that were true, don't you think it'd be against the tenets of the Islamic religion?
